Sporting Hounds Foundation of Tryon’s (SHFT) principle interest is to provide support for the care and placement of sporting pack hounds whose hunting career is ending, and for puppies born into packs but who do not develop an aptitude for
their sport. SHFT accepts grant requests exclusively from not for profit organizations, four times a year. Deadline for requests are January 31, April 3, July 31, and October 31.
Grant requests seeking support for spay and neutering, providing placement of sporting pack hounds, and research and treatment for Leishmaniasis will be given priority.
The application process consists of submitting a completed grant application and cover letter of not more than two pages describing how the grant will be used and when the grant seeking organization will report its results back to SHFT.
